Coperion K-Tron is pleased to introduce the next generation of its proven line control and high-level process visualization system: the K-Vision-III. Redesigned from the ground up, the new K-Vision-III features a state-of-the-art hardware platform that delivers faster, more responsive processing, a larger high-resolution touchscreen, built-in Ethernet-based connectivity, and a modern, intuitive user interface.
Designed to simplify feeder line management while enhancing visibility and control, the K-Vision-III can communicate with up to 24 individual KCM feeder control modules on a single process line. The system provides operators and process personnel with a centralized interface for monitoring, trending, modifying, and configuring every aspect of a Coperion K-Tron feeder installation.
In addition, the K-Vision-III offers powerful recipe management capabilities that simplify the creation and execution of material configurations and process recipes. Advanced functions include recipe proportioning, staged startups and shutdowns, and ingredient priority management for critical materials. Behind the scenes, the system handles all required calculations automatically, ensuring accurate, intuitive, and predictable process control.
For facilities utilizing Ethernet-based industrial communication protocols such as Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, or Profinet, the K-Vision-III serves as an effective data concentrator. This enables plant DCS and PLC systems to communicate with an entire feeder line through a single interface, reducing integration complexity while improving access to process data. The platform also supports operational continuity through features such as controller parameter backup and restore, allowing rapid reconfiguration or replacement of individual feeder controllers when needed.
While the K-Vision-III introduces a refined and contemporary user experience, it retains the familiar navigation structure and workflow of previous K-Vision generations. This minimizes operator training requirements and facilitates a smooth transition for existing users. Built on a more powerful software framework, the enhanced interface delivers improved performance while maintaining the ease of use that customers expect. As with previous generations, the K-Vision-III is available in a wide range of languages to support operations worldwide.
"With the K-Vision-III, we continue the tradition of innovation and continuous improvement in feeder controls that has long been a hallmark of Coperion K-Tron," said Jay Daniel, Head of R&D for Feeders and Feeder Systems within Coperion’s Performance Materials Division. "This latest generation provides customers with greater visibility into their processes, easier access to critical production data, and enhanced system integration capabilities. Ultimately, the K-Vision-III helps customers operate more efficiently, make better-informed decisions, and maximize uptime."
